United Way of West Tennessee prepares for 'Unitas' gala
JACKSON, TN (WNBJ) - The United Way of West Tennessee is gearing up for their Unitas gala featuring keynote speaker George Foreman.
The event is happening on December 16th, but tickets and tables for the gala are available to purchase online right now.
The president and CEO of the United Way of West Tennessee explains why Foreman was chosen as the keynote speaker for the gala.
“With his history and past and so many experiences he’s had, he is actually coming to share with us about all those things. So, he’s going to talk about what’s it like growing up in a hard situation and going on the be a heavyweight champion of the world and then moving from that into ministry and ultimately become an entrepreneur and so his story is really unique in that respect,” said Matthew Marshall, President & CEO of United Way of West Tennessee.
The Unitas: An Evening with George Foreman Gala event is happening at the Carl Perkins Civic Center Thursday, December 16th at 6 p.m.
Prices vary for people interested in becoming a sponsor.
Individual table tickets are $250.00 each.
Balcony tickets are $25.00 each.
All proceeds from the gala will fund programs within United Way to improve each person’s access to health, education, and financial stability.
