Underdawgs basketball team set to host community day
JACKSON, TN (WNBJ) - Come out and enjoy a fun-filled community day with the Jackson Underdawgs in downtown Jackson.
The Underdawgs are a team of alumni from local high schools, who have banded together to play in the TBT, which stands for The Basketball Tournament.
The tournament this year is being played in Illinois and the teams will be playing for one million dollars.
One player on the team is hoping to connect with the community at the event.
“We will have merchandise to purchase. We will have games, prizes, for kids and just looking to interact with people here locally before we head up to Illinois and hope we can make the community proud," said Antwan Long, an Underdawgs basketball player.
Again, the event is free and open to the public. It’s all happening downtown in front of Turntable Coffee Counter at 202 West Lafayette street in Jackson starting at 10 a.m.
