Traveling Local with Big Buck Resort

Big buck resort is a family-owned attraction sitting on over 60 acres. Tina Bellamy, the owner, says this is the place to come for some peace and quiet.

“I think the thing that people enjoy the most is how quiet and peaceful it is. You know people come out for a weekend, and they’re like that was so relaxing, refreshing. There are things to do,” said Bellamy.

While guests getaway for relaxation, they can also enjoy nature-friendly activities, and couples come for their wedding ceremonies.

“We do a lot of weddings. In-door, out-door weddings. Of course, we have a lake, so fishing. Cabins,” said Bellamy.

There are ten fully equipped cabins at Big Buck, and discounts are available for weekly stays.

“Basically, you bring yourself some toiletries and food and have a great weekend. So the full kitchen, full bath, heating, and air, direct tv, of course, they’re on the lake. They have a firing and a grill.” said Bellamy.

Those cabins are not the only option for lodging. Campers can set up tents or park their RV’s.

“Camping has exploded this year because of covid, but it’s good because families are spending more time together. but people just come in for the weekend, or sometimes they’re working in there for a couple of weeks.”

Bellamy says Big Buck is a family-friendly, affordable travel destination.

“Big buck is kind of like a second family so people come back all of the time. It’s very family-friendly, and so to me, you can’t get a better price on the cabins. the large cabins are only eighty-five dollars.”
