Thomas Media set to host career expo in Jackson

JACKSON, TN (WNBJ) - Thomas Media is hosting a career expo this Tuesday at the Carl Perkins Civic Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Jackson.

Thomas Media wants to help those who are unemployed and those who are possibly looking for a career change. There will be at least 60 employers ranging from the medical field, hospitality industry, communication field, and many more.

Thomas Media has held two prior career expos pre-COVID and thinks now would be the perfect time to host another one since the pandemic is on the downswing.

“We feel like now is the perfect time to do that. We feel like it is really a need in our community right now with so many businesses needing to hire and hire hundreds of positions to fill. We think right now it is a really good opportunity to bring out to the community,” said Katie Doherty, the Digital Media Manager and Co-Event Coordinator for Thomas Media Radio Group.

Again, the Thomas Media Career Expo is Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Carl Perkins Civic Center.

The address there is South Highland Avenue.

Attendees are encouraged to bring copies of their resumes, and professional dress is recommended. Hundreds of positions will be available and this event is free to the public!
