The Links Inc. installs positivity bench at Shirlene Mercer Park in Jackson
JACKSON, TN (WNBJ) - The Jackson Tennessee chapter of The Links Incorporated unveiled a positivity park bench at the Shirlene Mercer Park this week.
The Links Incorporated is a non-profit service organization.
Installing the bench is a part of a national initiative to encourage a more positive environment to help curb bullying, domestic violence, mental health issues, and other community concerns that can be difficult to share.
The links organization explaining its mission and hopes for the community.
“Our goal is to do community service in Jackson so we could help transform the community and make it better and a safer place for the citizens to live," said Machelle Banks, the President of the Jackson, TN Chapter of The Link Incorporated.
The bench was installed in collaboration with the City of Jackson Parks and Recreation department.
