The City of Jackson Officially Opens Pools to the Public


JACKSON, Tn.-Get ready for some fun in the sun! The City of Jackson has officially opened their pools to the public!


“Pools are opening today, June 5th. Our hours are from 1 to 4, and we have two locations. we're at Westwood community center and tr white sports place,” says Whitney Billingsley Engagement Director of Jackson Parks and Recreation.


Whitney tells 39 News that the city pools are open to everyone in the community.


“Bring your toys. bring your family. bring your grandma, your kids come out. It's only $2 to swim. we're just asking that you come in, be mindful and safe.”


The pool is a fun place for everyone but there are some rules that you and your family should be aware of.


“We are not responsible for any items that you bring or that are left here. but we do have lockers where you would like to bring your phones or your towels and any of your belongings. we do have lockers that you can put them away”


The pools are open to all ages but children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Lifeguards will be on duty during operating hours at both pool sites. There are also splash pads available at Bemis and Centennial Park for the community to enjoy.
