Summit Managment Brings A 500 Home Housing Project to Jackson

JACKSON, Tn- Today 39 News was able to visit the Summit. A new housing project that looks to provide people in Jackson a simpler way to live.

“When you move in here, you can come into your house, you eat, you sleep, and you leave. You're not responsible for the lawn. You're not responsible for any maintenance. Everything is taken care of.” said S.L Pemberton, Chief Operating Officer.

These are single family smart homes. Which means that almost everything in your home is connected to your phone?

“So, everything and they include front and back cameras. They include doorbell cameras. They include garage door openers, remote each bag so you can control your area from your phone, the gates all controlled off your phone. Everything is brought into one app so you can control the whole home for one app.” explained Pemberton.

The Summit will expand over 150 acres, and will include walking trails, pickleball courts, dog parks and several other amenities.

“So, all together there's going to be 500 homes. It stretches over 150 acres all together. The project is going to be about a $170 million project. And when it's all said and done, this will probably be about a 3 to 5 year build out as it goes.”
