Savannah Driver Services Center is Closing and Relocating
SAVANNAH, Tenn. - The Savannah Driver Services Center is starting a new month with a new location.
The Savannah Driver Services Center located at 60 Brazelton Street closed today but is reopening March sixth at a new location.
“So, the current lease located at Brazelton Street has expired, we put out a bid for a new lease recently and was awarded the new bid for the driver’s services on pickwick street, so the lease expired, we’re moving to a new lease, and a new location.”
Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security communications director, Wes Moster, tells 39 News the reason for relocating is due to a new lease.
After serving Savannah and the surrounding areas for about ten years, the driver services center is excited for a fresh start at 1016 Pickwick Street.
“We encourage people who need to go to a driver’s services center but may not know they can go to a participating county clerk… they can take care of the registration, they can take care of their renewals, some of them offer real ids as well.”
Moster reports if you need to visit a driver services center between March second through the fifth, you can call your local county or town clerk for assistance.
The Savannah Driver Services Center will reopen March sixth just down the road from its old location.
