Pickwick Landing State Park Offers Thanksgiving Meals with a View

JACKSON, Tenn. - What if you could enjoy your Thanksgiving dinner with a scenic view? Pickwick Landing State Park is offering both.

Pickwick is among one of the state parks in the state to offer Thanksgiving meals.

Guests can enjoy classic Thanksgiving food such as sliced turkey, chicken dressing, and green beans.

A Thanksgiving lunch and dinner will be held with a view of the lake.

“Some people do come for the whole weekend and bring their family and rent one of our cabins and spend the whole weekend here with their family. Some people just come for the meal and spend an hour or so with their family, and some people rent a room in our Lodge," says general manager Mary Jane Russell.

Russell says families of four, or even families of fifty, can make a reservation at The Lodge of the state park.

On average, six to seven hundred guests celebrate Thanksgiving at Pickwick.

“What’s a better place to spend Thanksgiving than at a beautiful state park? And mom doesn’t have to cook!"

Pickwick Landing State Park is located along the Tennessee River and at Pickwick Dam.

To make reservations at The Lodge you can call 1- (800) 250- 8615.
