People line the streets in Humboldt for the Grand Floats Parade


HUMBOLDT, TN (WNBJ) - The 83rd West Tennessee Strawberry Festival had their Grand Floats Parade this morning in downtown Humboldt. The day full of excitement and celebration as the floats go down Main Street.


The Grand Floats Parade is one of the highest anticipated events during the week.


This week has been packed full of events and friendly fellowship with people across the country. Cindy Donaway traveled from College Station, Texas to enjoy the parade and other festivities this week


“Oh my gosh, I could not imagine for this small town to have some many people everybody has been so friendly, kind and helped us get situated, where to go, what to do. The floats are great, the little princesses are adorable,” said Cindy Donaway, a Texas resident.


Humboldt native Tracy Glenn making attending the parade a top priority every year.


“It’s a must-see, if you’re from Humboldt you know you’re going to get up and get to the parade because that’s just a tradition that we are born and raised on. It’s just a must-see so I come out every year,” said

Tracy Glenn, a Humboldt resident.


Tonight, there will be a horse show at 6:30 p.m. at the Chalmus Davenport Arena and admission is five dollars.


There is also a Junior Hostess Princess Revue at 7 p.m. at the Humboldt High School gym and admission for that event is also five dollars.


Be sure you go out and enjoy all the festivities happening tonight at the West Tennessee Strawberry Festival, you don't want to miss it!
