JACKSON, TENN (WNBJ)-
The city of Jackson hoisted its new flag today at city hall!
The green, blue and white flag was designed by local artist Chris Stewart who won the flag designing contest the city held during the bicentennial celebration.
“I got a little choked up when I saw it go up... It's about people connecting here, families, friends,
Whether you're here for a job or school or you're just passing through. We want people to connect here," said Chris Stewart.
The six lines on the flag that meet at the circle represent a guitar- six strings and a hole. Connecting Jackson to its music history.
