National Weather Service in Memphis tracks wintry weather

JACKSON, TN (WNBJ) - Several towns and cities in our viewing area received snow today.

The National Weather Service in Memphis is tracking the weather. One of their meteorologists talks about the snowfall totals for the area.

“The Jackson area as well as the rest of west Tennessee has already gotten about three inches and could get another inch by the end of this afternoon. Now all the way up to Paris Landing, we are getting some reports of maybe four inches, and it could be another inch or two so possibly, five inches,” said Samantha Brown, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service in Memphis wants to make sure everyone remains safe because it’s likely that black ice will be on roads and bridges.
