MULTIMILLION DOLLAR COMPANY 6K ENERGY COMING TO JACKSON

JACKSON, Tn.-The city of Jackson is gaining a multimillion-dollar company this summer! 6k energy will be building its factory this June, creating over 200 jobs for West Tennessee.

6K energy will be building its first factory here in Jackson, Tennessee! 6K has committed to being an eco-friendly energy source for vehicles. The technology is the first of its kind and looks to change the future of electric cars. 6K’s Chief Operating Officer Rob Davies explains how it works.

“So, we take electrical energy, and we drive a microwave a little bit like a microwave in your kitchen, but just on a larger scale and we combine the microwave with a gas, which then produces a high temperature plasma.”

So, you may be wondering, how does the plasma convert to energy?

“We modify the plot, the shape of the plasma, so that it's more like a torch and it looks a lot like a lightsaber, if you're familiar with what that looks like. and so, we use that high temperature plasma to convert salts of metals into high quality, high purity metals.”

Davies promises that the new factory will have little to no impact on the environment.

“And so, all the production activity will be inside a building, no releases to the air, no releases, major releases to the sewer. there will obviously be stormwater that will get discharged, but we're not anticipating any impact to the environment.”

President Ceo of the Jackson Chamber, Kyle Spurgeon is thrilled about the new addition to the Jackson community.

“Yeah, we're extremely excited. It's another win. It means we get to celebrate for a little while, then go back to work and then work with our existing companies here and new companies.”

6K is the third largest investment ever to come to Jackson! Totaling 250 million so far. With an operation this big, Davies tells 39 News that the company will need over 200 employees ranging from production workers to leadership personnel.
