More snow is moving into west Tennessee, residents prepare
Nearly six inches of snow is expected to show up in west Tennessee through today and tomorrow, but some Jackson residents are still shoveling away the snow from earlier this week.
"I enjoyed it when I was a child, but I’m no child anymore. I just wish it would stay where it came from," says Susan Cole, Jackson resident.
Cole continues to shovel snow and a layer of ice from her drive way.
She says she started on Monday and then snow kept piling on top.
“I would wake up through the night and I just kept looking out and it just kept coming and coming," she adds.
Now she is back out here shoveling again just in case she needs to go to the grocery store, but now with more winter weather on the way she’s trying to start shoveling a little earlier this time.
“I really didn’t expect this much snow that we had and when we first got that little bit of snow I cleared that off before and this is the last go ‘round," says Cole.
The National Weather service still has this area under a winter storm warning. They say travel conditions will deteriorate throughout the night into tomorrow. So be safe if you have to get out.
