"Mayor's collection of masterpieces" art contest

The city of Jackson is partnering with the Jackson Arts Council to host the “mayor’s collection of masterpieces."
The gallery will feature art of 9th to 12th grade students on the 3rd floor of city hall children’s art gallery.
The theme for the gallery is “history of our holidays”.
“We really want the art that’s submitted to be anything that involves the city of jackson and our celebration around the holidays, so we have parades, we have cultural events that happen around the holidays, we have buildings that are decorated for the holidays so really there is so much to chose from in this particular theme,” says Lizzie Emmons of the Jackson Arts Council.
The deadline to submit art is Friday, November 19.
Art can be delivered to city hall lobby during business hours of 8:00 a.m. To 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday..
