Masks no longer required on JTA buses or any public transit

JACKSON, TENN (WNBJ)-
Masks are now optional on the busses in Jackson!
Today a federal judge struck down the Biden administration’s mandate that masks be worn aboard planes, trains, buses and other public transportation, leading to an immediate change in policy for the Jackson Transit Authority
The issue, however, may not be settled. The White House is waiting to see how the department of justice responds to this ruling, and the centers for disease control and prevention strongly recommend people continue to wear masks on public transit.
