Madison Co. Fire Dept. set to host Open House event this Sunday
JACKSON, TN (WNBJ) - In honor of Fire Prevention Week, the Madison County Fire Department will be hosting an Open House this Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The open house will have activities and fire safety training for all ages.
The department is encouraging the entire community to come out for a fun-filled day of learning.
“So, we are planning on having Sparky and Friends' Puppet Show. We are doing fire extinguishing training for adults. We are going to have a live burn and live rope rescue. It really is an opportunity for the community members to come out and kind of see the things we are doing at the fire station and learn some fire safety along the way,” said Anna Kate Craig, the Community Risk Reduction Coordinator at the Madison County Fire Depart.
The fire extinguishing class is limited to only 20 people so attendees interested in taking the course need to register online.
The event is free and open to the public.
The Fire Prevention Open House is happening this Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 2432 Technology Center Drive in Jackson.
