Made in Tennessee: Nanny’s Natural Products

HUMBOLDT, TN (WNBJ) - Our Made in Tennessee highlights a Gibson County artisan who creates natural products.

This week for our Made in Tennessee we are spotlighting Nanny’s Natural Products right here in Humboldt, where they make homemade products from the heart.

Nanny’s Natural Products are sold at Artisan’s Trade Company in Humboldt.

The owner, Susan Eaton, creates all-natural soaps, laundry detergent, bug spray, lip gloss, lotions, and much more.

Eaton knows health is wealth and explains why using natural products is so beneficial for the skin.

“I tell everyone that comes by that your skin is the largest organ that you have, and it gets more exposure to everything in the environment than anything else,” said Susan Eaton, the owner of Nanny’s Natural Products.

She explains the advantages of using goat milk as an ingredient in her products.

“They actually have a lot of nutrients, vitamins, and minerals in the milk, and it is very nourishing for your skin. Goat milk is really good for skin issues as well,” said Susan Eaton.

Susan’s husband Michael Eaton also helps her with the business. He is a retired pest control worker and he uses that past work experience to create products to keep bugs away.

“Our glass cleaner has a peppermint essential oil in it. And, I know that ants and spiders hate peppermint and so as you’re cleaning around your windows with our glass cleaner, you’re actually leaving behind the peppermint oil and deterring insects,” said Michael Eaton, Nanny’s Natural Products.

Susan really enjoys producing a product that she knows is improving people’s lives.

“It’s knowing that we are helping other people and they are becoming healthier,” said Susan Eaton.

You can buy Nanny’s Natural Products at Artisan’s Trade Company, Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Humboldt.
