Made in Tennessee: Grubb's Grocery

JACKSON, TN (WNBJ) - Our Made in Tennessee highlights a local grocery store in Madison County.

This week, our Made in Tennessee is spotlighting Grubb's Grocery in Jackson. Grubb’s is a locally owned market that offers natural products and ingredients giving the community healthier food options.

“Everything is completely natural. Everything is free of artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners, hydrogenated oils, high fructose corn syrup. Everything is completely natural here,” said Chris Felder, the owner of Grubb's Grocery.

The owner at Grubb's Grocery explains what all the market has to offer.

“We have everything from produce to meats to a full-service deli. I think 200 bulk items including bulk foods, herbs, and spices. We have everything that a regular grocery store has, just all-natural,” said Felder.

Felder opened the store up almost seven years ago and says it supports local merchants.

“One of the things that Grubb's does really well is that we support local. Not only are we local, but at any given time we buy from about 35 local vendors, artisans, and farmers. Anything from soap makers to candle markers to people who provide goods and services for the store. We even buy a lot of our supplies like paper bags from a local person here. So, our passion is local, and know that when you shop here everything that every penny that you spend remains local,” said Felder.

Another employee talks about what makes Grubb's so special.

“We love helping our customers and pointing out our favorite and things like that. We are going to be here, you can call. You can call us by name, know us by name, we will know you by name. We have a personal touch; I don’t think a lot of other grocery stores have,” said Sarah Jones, an employee with Grubb’s Grocery.

Grubb’s Grocery is open seven days a week and is located in downtown Jackson.
