Debbie and Tommy Goodrum moved to Humboldt twenty years ago and wanted to be a part of the community.

“When we looked to move, we looked all over west Tennessee and decided on Humboldt. The people are what brought us here. And when we moved into the community, we wanted to be a part of the community and that’s what we did.”

This love of the community and of the store led the Goodrums to purchase the store from the previous owners seven years ago. Before they bought the store Debbie was a nurse,

“nursing is really tough and I was ready to retire and the Williams that owned the store contacted us and asked if we were interested in buying the store and we said yes and here we are.”

They carry on the legacy of city gifts and have added to the products that they carry. They carry hallmark ornaments, cards, clothes, home décor, jewelry, and more! Debbie and her husband love to meet and help the customers that come in.

“Everyone that comes in here is happy, if they’re not happy we can help them be happy. They’re usually looking for something even if it’s a sympathy gift, just to help them find something that will make the person have a good day," Debbie says.
