Local organization provides free genealogy sessions
Jackson, TN.
The Jackson Madison chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution hold free genealogy work sessions every first Tuesday of each month. This session is open to the public. This is not a class so you may attend the entire session or drop in for a few minutes. Chapter members will be on hand to assist with your family genealogy research. They ask that you bring any documents or research that you've already done on your own, so that your next area of research may be determined.
Jamie Boone (Registrar of Jackson Madison Chapter of NSDAR) informed us, “The first Tuesday of every month we’ve started back in July. This chapter has done this for a number of years. We host these genealogy sessions. From 4-6 they’re come and go. You can stop in. Of course, some people come who are interested in joining our organization. We’re a national organization. Women, and of course there’s the Sons of American Revolution who can trace there ancestry back to people who were in or assisted in the Revolutionary War.”
If you are interested in tracing your ancestry you can contact Jamie Boone at: boonejc@hotmail.com, or visit the Jackson Madison Downtown Library on the first Tuesday of each month from 4:00--6:00 p.m.
