Local HBCU hosts two ceremonies for graduates


JACKSON, TN (WNBJ)- Due to the pandemic, The traditional graduation was canceled last year and class of 2020 was given the option to attend a virtual ceremony. This year, The college will host two sperate ceremonies allowing both classes to walk together by majors.


Unlike years past, COVID-19 guidelines are required at both in person ceremonies. Guests must have a ticket to attend and the capacity is limited. Those not in attendance can watch live on the college’s Facebook page.


Each student is allowed six tickets to the graduation. Samuels says, its time now to bring all of the parents and students back together.


The graduation will commence this Saturday, April 17th. The decision if the graduation will resume inside or outside is still in question.
