Local chamber of commerce organizations partner together to host customer service workshop

JACKSON, TN (WNBJ) - The Humboldt, the Greater Gibson County, and the Milan Chamber of Commerce are partnering together to host a customer service workshop happening from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. this Wednesday at the Humboldt Medical Center Conference room.

The workshop is titled Elevate, Excel, Advantage – Lessons from a Cow and a Mouse.

The speaker for the event is Marty Marbry, the West Tennessee Division Manager of the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development.

The two-hour event will provide attendees with excellent customer service skills and tips to navigate the business industry.

“Because they have struggled during COVID to keep employees, they are struggling to get employees right now and the employees they are having for summer a lot of them are younger and haven’t had a lot of customer service training so we thought this would be a great opportunity for them to come in and learn how to train their employees,” said Amanda Love, the Executive Director at the Humboldt Chamber of Commerce.

The workshop is for anyone in the workforce whether it's retail or tourism.

The event is free to the public, but advance registration is required. For more details on the event, please call 731-784-1842.
