Little library dedicated at the Casey Jones village

JACKSON, TN (WNBJ)

The Shaw family dedicated a little free library today at the Casey Jones Village. The library is part of the little free library worldwide network. The nonprofit has over one hundred thousand libraries spread out over one hundred countries.

If you take a book from the library, you are supposed to replace it with another book.

Brooks Shaw says that the goal is to make books more accessible to children,

we don’t want this to be a hindrance to anyone so anybody that wants to be able to come and take a book will be able to. We are in walking distance of several neighborhoods that have kids that have a desire and an eagerness to read, and this is a great way for them to do that at no cost to them.”

The library is dedicated to Clark Shaw the father of Brooks Shaw and founder of the old country store. His family wanted to honor his legacy by putting his name on the latest addition of what the Shaw family has done for the community of Jackson and West Tennessee.

Mrs. Shaw prayed at the dedication thanking God for the life of Clark Shaw and for the new addition to the Casey Jones village.
