Lifeline Blood Services urges public to donate COVID-19 Convalescent Plasma

JACKSON, TN (WNBJ) - Lifeline Blood Services is in need of your help!

The supply of COVID-19 Convalescent Plasma is low and the hospitals in west Tennessee need that blood to help treat those who are seriously ill with COVID.

Lifeline encourages anyone to call them to see if they fit the qualifications to donate COVID-19 Convalescent Plasma.

“We are looking for people who have had COVID in the last 6 months because we want to make sure that they have a high enough anti-body level to be of use to those who are receiving their plasma," said Caitlin Roach, the Marketing Manager with the Lifeline Blood Service.

Lifeline says determining eligibility will be much more complicated this time since there is a vaccine available and because some have received the Monoclonal Antibody Infusion.

So, if you think you may be eligible, please contact Lifeline Blood Services in Jackson.

CCP can only be collected at our Jackson center.
