Koins for Kids fundraiser tomorrow


The Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse is holding a fundraiser tomorrow to make Christmas special for children in Jackson.

The second annual Koins for kids will be held tomorrow to kick off the “Rusty Mac adopt a teen”.

The change accepted will make Christmas possible for nearly 500 kids in west Tennessee.

“Everything is going to go to local teens and the need is there. So, we’re just asking everyone if they feel blessed to you know bless a teen this Christmas,” says Megan Lewis with the Carl Perkins Center.

Koins for kids will be in the parking lot of the old toys are us building on north highland from 8 am to 6 pm.

The event is also a competition between media personalities in West Tennessee.

Buckets at the event will have names of reports, anchors and DJs on them. The person with the most change at the end of the day wins!
