'Humboldt Works', a new Facebook page created to help job seekers

HUMBOLDT, TN (WNBJ) - Are you looking for your next job opportunity? If so, you might want to listen up.

The Humboldt Chamber of Commerce has created a Facebook page to connect Humboldt chamber members and job-seekers.

The Facebook group will allow chamber members to post job openings, while also allowing the citizens of Humboldt and surrounding areas to view career opportunities. This new platform is part of a plan to support their chamber members while strengthening the local workforce.

The chamber is happy to lend a helping hand and give those seeking employment an extra resource to use

“The best part about all of this is that not only are you helping the industry, which in turn helps the general public because they can get their product out, but maybe it’s that one person out there that didn’t know that Tyson Foods was hiring, or Jones Family of Companies was hiring or anybody on this board behind me was hiring and they get that job, and they love it. They can provide for their family and maybe they help their family do better than they’ve been doing. It’s just this whole chain reaction of events that happens when somebody gets a job and they can pick themselves up and they move forward into a better life. That’s what’s doing this is all about," said Amanda Love, the Executive Director of the Humboldt Chamber of Commerce.
