Henderson County Schools Could Be Seeing an Update to High School Sports Faculties
Lexington, TN. (WNBJ)-
The Henderson County community is hoping to see updates to their high school sports facilities after possible changes were announced during a school board meeting. Cathy New (Henderson County Residents) stated, “when I went to school there it still looks bout the same as it looked back when I went.”
The announcement has many residents in the community hopeful for these updates. Cathy New (Henderson County Residents) says, “I think it will be a good idea to update it and give them a little more room.”
Henderson County Schools Superintendent Steve Wilkinson stated that right now the board is awaiting total costs for the updates. Steve Wilkinson (Henderson County Schools Superintendent) informed us, “at our last school board meeting we hired… or the board hired TLM out of Jackson to look at the Lexington High School football stadium, and also looking at some bleachers at Scott Hill High School.”
Superintendent Wilkinson is hoping the final estimates will be in by late April early May. Whether or not these updates will happen is still up in the air, but residents believe these changes are long overdue.
