Healthy Families Community Resource Fair Helps Pregnant and Newborn Families

HENDERSON, Tenn. - Healthy Families Tennessee - Southwest knows motherhood can be an exciting, but also very busy time.

With childbirth, comes many financial, physical, and emotional responsibilities.

That’s why an in-person Families Community Resource Fair was held for the first time at the First United Methodist church in Henderson.

“Having a baby is a lot... it’s a lot on people, so just another support, get them information about what is in the community that’s available to them, and just a person to help them through these first couple years of life.”

Community liaison and supervisor Nadia graham is excited to kick off the resource fair for the first time in Chester County.

She wants families in Chester County to know there are people who can help them through their first few years as new parents.

“Any sort of resource connection, if a family is wanting to go back to school, if they want help getting a job, or need help finding a car seat… that kind of thing, we can kind of get them connected to those resources.”

Pregnant mothers or mothers to a two-month-old or younger had access to free giveaways and vendors.
