Flu shots now available at Urgent Team in Jackson

JACKSON, TN (WNBJ) - Along with the ongoing COVID pandemic, medical professionals want to urge the public to get their flu vaccines for the upcoming flu season.

Flu shots are now available at the Urgent Team Family of Urgent Care and Walk-In Centers.

The staff at Urgent Team says there is a possibility we may be entering a flu season with a higher level of susceptibility than usual.

“This year there is a little bit of concern that so many people have not gotten their yearly exposure to the Flu. That this year’s strain may be more reactive within the body and it may be easier to contract and transmit to someone,” said Dr. Matt Browning, the Chief Medical Officer for Urgent Team Family of Urgent Care & Walk-In Centers.

Urgent Team is now offering the 2021-2022 flu vaccination for Influenza A and B strains.

There is a vaccine available for ages six months and older. There is also a high-dose vaccine available for ages 65 and older.

Flu shots are available on a walk-in basis, seven days a week at the Urgent Team in Jackson, located on the corner of Old Humboldt and North Highland.
