Early Voter Turnout is Currently Very Low in Madison County
JACKSON, Tenn. - Madison County administrator of elections Lori Lott reports that as of today, only 1200 people have voted early.
Early voting kicked off last Wednesday, April 12th at the Madison County Election Commission.
“In 2019 about this time, about 1900 had voted, and in the runoff in June about 3,000 had voted by now.”
Lott compares the current low numbers to the previous election and is encouraging everyone to come out and vote.
“It does take 50 percent plus one for that mayoral candidate to win, or we will have to have a runoff.”
To vote, you will need a valid ID.
You can vote from now until April 27th, at the Madison County Election Commission office at 311 North Parkway.
