Date set for Jackson International Food and Art Festival
JACKSON, TN (WNBJ) - The Co-Chairs of the Jackson International Food and Art Festival announced today that the festival is coming back in full force after last year’s hiatus due to COVID.
The festival will be Saturday, October 16th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Jackson.
One of the co-chairs of the festival was excited to let the public know about the return of the festival.
“After one year of not being able to have the festival, we are really excited to come back this year with a bang. Now, we are busy preparing over the last several months. We are happy to bring back all the food, art, different performances that we have had in previous years,” said Dr. Sandra Dee, the Co-Chair of the Jackson International Food and Art Festival.
Event organizers say in the past the festival brought in over 10,000 people to the hub city and over 40 countries were represented at the festival.
The other co-chair wants to encourage vendors to register for the festival.
“So many different cultures, but we would like to invite them and share what they have. All the beauty of their countries so we definitely want to invite them to be a part of our festival,” said Eduardo Morales, the Co-Chair of the Jackson International Food and Art Festival.
