Crockett County Car Accident Claims the Life of a 16-year-old Girl



CROCKETT COUNTY, Tenn. - That’s right, a car accident claimed the life of 16-year-old Reese Erin Barker.


The Crockett County Sheriff’s office reports 16-year-old Reese Erin Barker was killed in a car crash on Saturday morning.


Barker was a junior here at Crockett County High School and daughter of Coach David Barker.


The Sheriff’s Office reports they received a report of a head-on collision on Highway 152 around 11:50 am on Saturday.


It was later confirmed Barker was killed in the accident.


Three people were in the other car and were taken to emergency medical facilities.


The sheriff’s office also reports another fatal crash happened on the same road less than a day before Barker’s accident.


A 62-year-old Humboldt woman was killed in a two-vehicle wreck on Highway 152 on Friday close to 3 pm.


A visitation is set for August 16th in Crockett County High School’s gym from 4-8 pm.
