Black Wall Street Bus Tour set to stop in Jackson
JACKSON, TN (WNBJ) - The Black Wall Street Bus Tour rolls into Jackson tomorrow afternoon for their educational forum at the Carl Perkins Civic Center.
The bus tour is the first of its kind, focusing on bitcoin education and adoption within black and brown communities across the U.S.
The tour will be visiting thirty of the most disenfranchised communities in the U.S. introducing financial literacy and cryptocurrency to people in these communities.
The tour will feature key-note speaker author and awarding-winning actor Hill Harper and world-leading cryptocurrency expert Najah Roberts.
Najah is excited to educate people on how important cryptocurrency is and about a new Black Wall Street Digital Wallet app.
“We are realizing if we don’t do something the dollar will only circulate in our community seven seconds because it immediately comes in and goes out on a digital platform. So, if we don’t own our own technology and our own platforms we are going to be in trouble so what we are building is a digital Black Wall Street that can not be torn down, burn down or no destruction can come to because we are putting together our community can take ownership in,” said Najah Roberts, a cryptocurrency expert.
The Black Wall Street Bus Tour event is happening Thursday at the Carl Perkins Civic Center at 5 p.m. in Jackson. The event is free to the public.
