28TH ANNUAL AFRICAN STREET FESTIVAL

Jackson, TN.

This past weekend Madison County celebrated the 28th annual African Street Festival. Presented by the Society for African American Cultural Awareness. This three-day, annual event featured African art and music, along with international vendors. After a year break due to COVID-19, many questioned whether the event would happen this year. Vendors were excited to gain the exposure this event brings to their business.

“I’ve been looking forward to this day. Last year I was so depressed. I love selling African stuff. Everything you see is handmade. The fact that I bring my stuff out here and have people buy it, I love it.”
