Major transformations are coming to Union University in the future.
A campus master plan was approved that will guide campus development over the next 20 years.
"One of the core values at union is that we're future directed which means that were constantly thinking about the future and were trying to equip students for the future," says President Dub Oliver.
The plan includes many different renovations that would take place all around campus.
Just a couple of them include a new welcome center, extending the great lawn all the way to the bypass, and what seems to be everybody's favorite building a new chapel.
“The thing i'm most excited for is the new chapel," says President Oliver.
"I'm also really exciting about the chapel just a great place to worship," says Gabby Morocco.
In the plan they also approved new officers and a 2.54% tuition increase for the 2020-2021 school year.
This is only the third master plan at Union University and the first since 1997.
The end result may be 2 decades away but the excitement is already here.
“It feels so cool even though i'm a senior and i'm not going to be here the next 4, 5 or 20 years its exciting to be able to know unions in good hands and the plans going to be so good,” says Morocco.
