Splash and Dash 5k
Although hundreds of people will participate in the therapy and learning center’s splash and dash 5k, the kids at the center are the ones who will benefit from it.
“Kate was born with down syndrome and as you can see is a fun spirited smart little girl shes been receiving therapy services and early intervention services since she was born,” says Ellen Neely.
5 year old Kate Sargent is one of the five mile marker miracles that will be featured during the race.
These children are chosen because of how much they have progressed during their time at the center and because of the limitations that they have overcome.
Kate is only one of the thousands of children that the therapy and learning center serves in West Tennessee and one of the many children that will benefit from the Splash and Dash.
These mile marker miracles and many more who are served by the therapy and learning center will also take part in the 5k
“A lot of them have various special needs and disabilities but they come out whether it be in a wheelchair or a walker or their own two feet and they do the race as well,” says Neely.
They say the community's support in events like these is what allows them to continue to serve the more than a thousand children and adults in over 19 counties in West Tennessee.
“The skys the limit so we just believe shell continue to be that miracle because we know shes able to do great things,” says Neely.
