Early voting surpasses 20 percent in week one

1310 voters cast ballots during early voting on Friday at the Madison County Election Commission.  12,714 ballots have now been cast during the early voting period which is a little over 21% of the registered voters in Madison County. 

 

 

The early voting site is located at 311 North Parkway in Jackson in the auditorium of the Madison County Agricultural Complex.  Early voting will continue until November 1st.  Voting hours are from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm on weekdays and from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm next Saturday.  Election Day is November 6th.  In order to vote, a photo ID issued by the State of Tennessee or the U.S. Government must be presented.  If you have moved within Madison County since the last election, please update you address with the Election Commission.  You may do this in person before you vote early.  You may also update your address online at www.madisonelections.com.  You can also use the website to review a sample ballot before you vote.
