Jackson Police Chief, Julian Wiser, greets Wesley Roy Brady Jr.

Wesley Roy Brady Jr., a Marine, is walking across America to bring awareness to the challenges faced by military veterans after returning home from combat.  Roy documents "Due to the fact that my brother and a Marine brother of mine, took their own lives, I'm walking to raise awareness of the things our service members face when they return home."

Chief Wiser, who is also a Marine, met Roy and presented him with a Jackson Police Department Challenge Coin.  "I commend Roy for his efforts to educate the country and bring awareness to the challenges faced by soldiers who survive traumatic events because First Responders often deal with the same challenges," said Chief Wiser.
