Local Softball Team Qualifies for World Series

A local softball team, Madison South, has left to the World Series in Louisiana.

The 9 and 10-year-old girls won the district tournament undefeated, won state 12 to 5 and advanced to the World Series.

They are not only representing Madison County, but are the only team of their age group from Tennessee to qualify.

For the World Series, they changed their name from Madison South to team Tennessee.

They say they are very excited for this once in a lifetime opportunity.
