Staff at each JMCSS school now available to assist with registration

JACKSON, Tenn. – Though the start of the 2018-2019 is still a couple of weeks away, the office staff at all schools in the Jackson-Madison County School System are already back at work and available to help with new student registration.
Any student who is new to the district or moved to a new school zone over the summer must register at his or her new school before the first day of class on August 3.
There are two parts to the registration process:
Complete the registration forms online.
Visit , scroll down to the middle of the page and click on “” on the yellow Quick Links bar.
Click on “” and follow the directions on the page.
If you do not have a computer or internet access, there are computers available at your child’s school.
Submit all required documents in-person at your child’s school office. The office staff can make copies and the originals will be returned to you.
All new students must submit the following:
Birth certificate
Three (3) proofs of residence
Social Security card
Updated shot record on the Tennessee form
Proof of current physical
Parent or guardian’s state-issued ID
All Pre-K students must submit the above documents plus the following:
Household income verification (most recent check stub, tax return, public assistance case or SSI pay stub)
All returning JMCSS students, who were enrolled in a district school during the last year, should have completed registration before leaving school for summer break. If you did not complete that registration process, it is still available through the PowerSchool Parent site. If you need assistance with this process, the office staff at your student’s school can help.
