Madison County Sheriff's Department Moves To New Location

The Madison County Sheriff's Department has moved out of their downtown location.

The department staff has moved into the recently finished section of the West Tennessee training center on Denmark-Jackson road.

The new office will allow the sheriff’s department to consolidate space and gives them more room to expand.

Sherriff John Mehr says that even with the majority of the department moving south of Jackson, their officer response times won't drop. He also says deputies will also be located at county fire stations to help keep response times low.
