Garden Show Preparation Is Underway

The University of Tennessee's Institute of Agriculture is getting ready for one of the largest gardening shows in the south.
The Summer Celebration isn’t until Thursday, but the set-up has already begun.
The event will feature 16 lectures on garden related topics and a plant sale of unique plants that start at only 3 dollars.
This year will be the 29th year of the celebration.
They say they continue to do it hoping to draw more people to gardening and to educate them on proper gardening at home.
"So our gardens are open daylight to dark, so we'll hope you'll come back at other times of the year and enjoy the garden as well but we hope you take away a good plant but also information that you can apply to your home garden that you've learned at the lectures,” says Jason Reeves of UT Agri.
The Summer Celebration will be held at the Agriculture Research and Education Center on Thursday, July 12th, from 9 am to 5 pm.
For those interested in attending, admission is only 5 dollars for adults and free for kids.
