Generals announce multiple 2018 job fair dates

Jackson, Tenn. - The Jackson Generals will host their annual job fair across two consecutive Saturdays in February as they prepare for the 2018 Southern League season. Generals officials expect to hire more than 100 employees to work game-day positions for the Generals during the team's April-through-Labor Day schedule.

"Game-day positions are an essential part of our operation," said Generals GM Nick Hall. "Every one of these positions has a hand in making The Ballpark at Jackson a fun and satisfying place to spend a summer night. This is a valuable opportunity for Jackson community members to work with their peers at home games, learn about the daily operations of a professional sports franchise, and grow their own fandom for their hometown baseball team."

The Generals will host their job fairs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, and Saturday, February 24 at The Ballpark at Jackson. Interested job applicants should submit an application at least 72 hours before the first job fair and contact the team to reserve a time to be interviewed. Two forms of identification will be required for applicants as part of the hiring process.

The Generals will interview candidates for positions in the following departments:

*Ticket Office

*Team Store

*Promotions (In-Game Entertainment & Fun Zone)

*Ballpark Operations (Security and Housekeeping)

*Groundskeeping

*Concessions

*Game Production (Cameras, Sound, Videoboard)

*Press Box Production (Statistics, Clock, Line Score)

Applications are available to job seekers in person at The Ballpark at Jackson (4 Fun Place, just south of exit 85 off Interstate 40), as well as online. Completed applications can be dropped off at The Ballpark or returned via email with the subject line "2018 Job Fair Application - [your name]" to Robbie Perry (rperry@jacksongeneralsbaseball.com).
