School time off Means Big Day on Big Hill
The snow and cold may be a nightmare for some, but many students across Jackson and West Tennessee are using their time off to get out and enjoy the winter wonder land.
Around 40 people gathered this afternoon to enjoy some sledding and snowboarding down the big hill near the Generals ball park.
The bitter cold temps didn’t keep these residents from stepping out of the house to enjoy the sunshine and snow.
Ryan Burkett, a senior at Memphis at Lamuth says, It’s been great, really glad to get out of the house, i spent the whole weekend cooped up. It was a beautiful day to come out here. No school, no work, no better way to spend the day”
With most of schools across West Tennessee closed again Wednesday, many of those kids will be back at the hill.
