Madison County Deputies Arrest Three on Drug Charges

Madison County Sheriff John Mehr confirms his Deputies made three arrests at 4:48 this morning. While serving an outstanding warrant for evading arrest for Ricky Alexander, age 43,who was apprehended inside the residence at 104 Old Denmark Road. Deputies observed in plain view, components consistent with items used in a Meth Lab. They found .7 grams of methamphetamine, marijuana and Xanax pills. The Jackson-Madison County Metro Narcotics Unit was called to the scene, suited up, and proceeded the process of breaking down all the compounds and removing them. Madison County Sheriff’s Office Deputies Honored

Two Madison County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were honored September 12th, each receiving the prestigious “Three Stars of Tennessee” at the First Responder Recognition ceremony at the Governor’s Tennessee residence in Nashville. Sgt. Tom Knolton for his quick response to a 911 call in reference to an attempted suicide of a 27 year old male on a bridge over I-40 in April, saving his life. Deputy Hunter Marbrey for his rapid response to a local Trailer park lot where he found a male hanging in a closet and unresponsive. He cut him down, performed CPR and revived him until EMS arrived. Search Underway for Director of Research, Outreach and Economic Development

Fugitive Now in Custody

NASHVILLE – The fugitive who was added to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Top Ten Most Wanted list on Friday is now in custody. Johnathon Shaquille Genes of Hardeman County was apprehended at a residence in Jackson on Sunday, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service Gulf Coast Regional Task Force and a K-9 unit with the Jackson Police Department. He was taken into custody without incident. Johnathon Genes was wanted by the Hardeman County Sheriff’s Department for Attempted First Degree Murder, Especially Aggravated Robbery, Aggravated Assault, and Employing a Firearm during the Commission of a Dangerous Felony.

September 11 Observance at the Shiloh and Corinth Battlefields

On Tuesday, September 11, 2018, everyone is invited to Shiloh National Military Park and the Corinth Civil War Interpretive Center for a day of remembrance. Visitors will join park rangers in placing American flags on the front lawns of the Corinth and Shiloh Visitor Centers, honoring those killed in the terror attacks of 9-11.
